Editorializing
[edit]Recently added to this article, now removed:
- "In January 2013 Terence's transphobia was evident when he wrote: "Would someone who has had the mental and physical courage to change sex really be upset by the appearance of the phrase “dicks in chicks’ clothing” in the press? It seems unlikely." in defence of an article written by Julie Birchill [1]"
This is not a paraphrasing of a third party commentator on his opinions in this matter. this is a Wikipedia editor expounding on his presumed transphobia. I Know this is entirely inappropriate, as its US calling him transphobic, which is libelous. What i dont know, is whether this story is a tempest in a teapot or not. lets see if Julie Burchill and Suzanne Moore are notable enough to be mentioned elswhere here. ok they are, but very briefly. please do not return this sentence to the article until its cleaned up, and sources other than his website are provided. otherwise, its just his regular column, which we link to in external links. I personally dont see how he can be transphobic if he wrote a kids book about transgender behavior published by a well respected publisher, farrar straus giroux.
