The wikilink for Proxenus leads to a stub article about moths. Don't think that's right. 173.79.75.167 (talk) 18:07, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coronea?

[edit]

Shouldn't there be a mention of how elements of the Ten Thousand fought in the Battle of Coronea? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.101.182.161 (talk) 06:01, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Turkey?

[edit]

"The Greeks elected new officers and set out to march northwards to the Black Sea through Turkey."
Sorry but there was no Turkey at that time, through modern day Turkey, or even better through Anatolia would be more correct way to say — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.61.64.216 (talk) 07:15, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sophaenetus

[edit]

There was only one general Sophaenetus, the one from Arcadia and especially from Stymphalia, a region of Arcadia then with a city called Stymphalus as its administrative center. Today the region of Stymphalia is part of Corinthia. As Proxenus, for example, was from the city Thebes of Boeotia. So, Sophaenetus was from Stymphalus of Arcadia. Therefore, either you say Sophaenetus the Stymphalian or Sophaenetus the Arcadian, you refer to the same man. A note from Greece. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.58.229.110 (talk) 18:28, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The map is false

[edit]

The map used represent the Persian Empire before the end of the second Persian War. At the time of the then Thousand, Macedon, Thracia and asia Minor weren't anymore into Persian rule — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:A03F:5026:6400:248A:4016:EAD7:3C8A (talk) 12:52, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good point, as seen in this map, although Asia Minor was still in Persian rule, except for some coastal cities. Would you agree? I'll see what I can do to correct the map. Thank you! पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 14:14, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
