I notice the article does not specify what material is used for this garment : I assume it must be something special ... Feroshki (talk) 08:01, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Russian language article says high-quality cotton. There also exists a cold-weather variety of Telnyashka made with flannel. Don't know about information sources, though. 97.125.48.202 (talk) 04:12, 13 November 2009 (UTC) bibg bou[reply]

Merge with Marinière?

[edit]

I think this should be merged with Marinière. Both articles appear to be discussing an identical garment, and the only difference is the country it is used in. I notice we don't have a different article for each country that wears blue jeans! BananaBork (talk) 11:36, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We don't merge large articles. Wikipedia is not paper. The content is not only about the outlook of the garments. Telnyashka and Mariniere have different histories. - üser:Altenmann >t 15:26, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What about use by Ukrainians, Belarusians, Cossacks etc?

Title. Why is this not mentioned in the opening sentences? Aliy Dawut (talk) 19:59, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

computer gaming

[edit]

as this item of clothing is used in a lot of uniforms, is the section on computer games (and the incredible amount of detail there) really necessary? A lot of depicted Soviet or Russian units in a computer game might show this item just because it is the uniform. while some people may look at COD as the center of the universe, for people that come here for real world information the section is of little use. 2A02:FE1:6085:6500:FC08:822B:FF1D:34BA (talk) 20:21, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
