local and paid tv
[edit]I wonder if the local and paid tv channels should be included. There are a lot of local tv channels that can be viewed by pretty much anyone with an antenna or dish, such as TV Oost, TV West, TV Noord, TV Noord-Holland, TV Drenthe, TV Rijnmond, TV Gelderland, AT5, L1 TV, TV Flevoland, Omroep Brabant, Omroep Fryslan, Omroep Zeeland, Regio TV Utrecht. These are all channels with local news and tv-shows. Some aren't that professional but channels like AT5 (local Amsterdam tv channel) are quite notable. Besides that, there are also a bunch of paid channels with Dutch content or Dutch subtitles, such as Canal Digitaal 1, 2 and 3. Shouldn't those be added? Holodroid 16:35, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
- Seems like a good idea, the one think I think is needed though is a source — do you know of any websites which list these channels? Tim! (talk) 22:23, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
The Dutch version of wikipedia has a good list: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_televisiezenders

- Adding ThreeNL might be an option. It broadcasts in English, targeting the English speaking population of the Netherlands, but only broadcasts through the internet. 88.128.80.6 (talk) 22:10, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- If it's only broadcasting through the internet, could you call it a TV-station? PPP (talk) 15:23, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- It is becoming more and more valuable I understand from its Youtube-channel, so I placed a link to it on the bottom of the article. PPP (talk) 18:09, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Merge with 'List of Dutch television stations'
[edit]They're pretty much the same in terms of content. RoempaZ 20:00, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'll file for a afd in the latter article, since that was a duplicate. Intangible 19:55, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I totally agree with the merger, the pages are almost identical in content. Cyzor (talk) 17:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Is this the Dutch channel mentioned here? --Howard the Duck' 04:43, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- http://www.sport1.nl/ I think it's a different one. This one comes from the old Canal+ group --TheDJ (talk • contribs) 06:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- So is it a good idea to name it Sport 1 (Netherlands)? --Howard the Duck 06:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- The Dutch channels are Sport1 & Film1 (without the space) and are mentioned here. I made the channel pages yesterday. Also see List of Ziggo channels for more channels in the Netherlands. EDIT: Sorry didn't look at the date of the post, my bad. Cyzor (talk) 21:29, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

History?
[edit]As it stands the article is not much more than a dull list of stations. A description of the early and modern history of Dutch television would add a lot to this article. Shinobu (talk) 00:26, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
