After the break
Currently, commercial break redirects to this article. But such act is also practiced in radio. So, what should we do? We have two options:
- Create a new article called commercial break
- Merge this article and Radio advertisement into a new article called Broadcast advertisement
Any ideas? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 16:00, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- There's another option: just disambiguate commercial break. A hatnote should be sufficient. TV is primary topic over radio. wbm1058 (talk) 05:59, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2012 November 28#Commercial break. – wbm1058 (talk) 06:03, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- And if TV is not the WP:primary topic, then just redirect commercials and such to commercial as a {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. – wbm1058 (talk) 06:20, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- The combined broad-topic article is called Advertising. – wbm1058 (talk) 06:22, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Removal/change of the photo under 'Future of TV advertisements'
The photo and caption show an F1 car with a tobacco sponsor, but the FIA announced a ban on tobacco sponsors in 2001 to be enforced in 2006. I'm not sure if any other motorsports still allow tobacco sponsorship, but it might be best to either change the caption, or change/remove the photo all together.
