WikiProject class rating
[edit]This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as stub, and the rating on other projects was brought up to Stub class. BetacommandBot 10:04, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Is this really notable enough to have its own article? The current text lacks citations and is anyway somewhat incoherent. The only citation is to a book that is not generally accessible. The "Further reading" item is not obviously related to the topic. Searches on Google Scholar and Google Books failed to find anything substantial. I suggest that this page is redirected to the relevant section in the Tesla article. Mikenorton (talk) 11:53, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- User:Fountains of Bryn Mawr proposed that the article be deleted.
- I contested that proposal when I quickly found a few book sources: [1], [2], [3] ~Kvng (talk) 16:46, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- All of those citations are to books about Tesla, which all unsurprisingly mention his proposal. None of those are sufficient in my view to justify a standalone article on the topic as it remains just a proposal, no working system was ever produced. I still think that a redirect is the best way forward and will do that unless someone comes up with good reasons why not. Mikenorton (talk) 12:16, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed, there is nothing here "beyond a mere trivial mention", and that is in Tesla sources. It has no traction outside the Tesla world re: Reflection seismology. This piece of trivia added by Tesla fans should be redirect to Nikola Tesla Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 15:10, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Replaced with a redirect. Mikenorton (talk) 16:54, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
