Opening heading

[edit]

Does this site not refer to the use of teams in learning and not team-based learning. Team-based learning is a well developed instructional methodology that emerge fro the business school at the University of Oklahoma in the late 1970's

History

[edit]

There are some serious problems with this article, and this section is one of the worst. It starts with this: "Team-Based Learning was jointly developed by Duke Corporate Education and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2005, Judy Rosenblum, then President of Duke Corporate Education, and Tom Evans, Chief Learning Officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers, began to explore the learning environment in teaching hospitals and its possible transferability to corporate environments."

This implies that that TBL began during 2005, and was "was jointly developed by Duke Corporate Education and PricewaterhouseCoopers" which is obviously false. I think this applies to the development within a particular context, and that needs to stated explicitly. Kmasters0 (talk) 10:01, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Recommendations/Suggestions

[edit]

For this article to be about a learning philosophy there is not enough info altogether. There should definitely be some more links to other sources. The beginning of this article should start with a definite definition of what Team Based Learning really is. It should be defined as simple as possible and then further on throughout the article all points can be reconized and detailed by the editor. Also this is for a college wikipedia project, if you have any suggestion please post them here. Mike ArmstrongArmstrmh (talk) 19:07, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
