Tie Bań--125.27.54.243 (talk) 07:34, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tie Bać is hard to write. But "Tea Banh", people will pronounce, "TEE BAN-HE". I guess "Tia Bugn" is better.--125.25.208.65 (talk) 08:49, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the proposal was not moved. As noted below, how it is pronounced is not a naming convention basis, but rather we look at what the common title is in English. I will created the redirect now.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:10, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tea BanhTia Bugn — Dat is how pronounce. Tea Banh will pronounce "TEE (like from Tea, a drink) BAN-HE" 125.25.208.65 (talk) 08:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - regardless of how it should be pronounced, we have to use the most common form in English. There is absolutely no ambiguity about this spelling because the Cambodian defense ministry repeatedly uses "Tea Banh" (e.g. Key personnel and Defense news) when referring to this person. However, there is nothing stopping "Tia Bugn" from becoming a redirect. Green Giant (talk) 21:41, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
