Since when is Sam the person/character who "most prominently used" the word "tater"? I mean honestly, I think I can safely say that I have used it more in the past 2 weeks than Sam did in the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. CombatRaven 23:34, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

~~Weak support~~ - I was going to oppose, but the disambig page is nearly empty. I think tater should just redirect to tater tots, as its Etymology section better explains this colloquial term than just redirecting to potato. -- Netoholic @ 06:38, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Switching to Oppose because the main point of a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT is to be used in wikilinking, and in this case I think we want to fully avoid any editor using a link to tater in an article.
