Kanji reading 畳胴具足

[edit]

The Kanji in the first paragraph 畳胴具足 are read: "tatami dō gusoku" not "tatami gusoku" The second kanji is 'dō' = body / trunk. This is one of the components of the Tatami Gusoku as stated in Structure. Perhaps it would be correct to write 畳具足 (tatami gusoku) - I can't see a Japanese version to verify this with. Zorgster (talk) 13:20, 25 July 2016 (UTC) I've removed the 胴 (do). Zorgster (talk) 13:24, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Change title to allow more general discussion of Folding Armour

[edit]

The title of this page "Tatami (Japanese armour)" suggests that Tatami is the word for Japanese armour. Tatami means folding. The armour 'Tatami gusoku' cannot be separated in the title of the page. As with other pages in general the page should really be called 'Folding armour' in English and discuss folding armour in general, from various countries. This page can then discuss folding armours from different countries of which Japan is one. The Japanese translated title of the page would be "Tatami Gusoku". • "Gusoku" means a full suit of armor, obviously this would not be an appropriate title for this particular article. If you want to discuss folding armors from other cultures a new section could be added.70.196.136.42 (talk) 14:01, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
