Notes
[edit]Someone should add the history of the Taste, like when it started (I think its 1995 give or take a year), why it was started, and what types of foods are featured there.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.124.244.129 (talk • contribs)

The History
[edit]This year in 2006 will be the 26th Annual Taste of Chicago. That means it should have started in the 1980 summer.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.252.102.59 (talk • contribs)
I think someone should add the musical groups that have performed at the Taste on July 4th (this is generally the date of the biggest concert which tends to attract some very big name musical acts, i.e. in recent years these have included Moby and Santana). I don't think it moved right from North Michigan to Grant Park in one year. I remember the first Taste as a kid and remember some subsequent ones taking place on Navy Pier. This would have been about '85 or '86. Anyone else remember that? I also seem to remember it staying on North Michigan for more than one year. I'll try to dig up some research.
