Appearances section?

[edit]

I was looking at some news on Tara Ison and noted a few appearances and talks she's given and wondered if those could somehow be integrated into the article. Sure, there's the Work and Honors section, and I'm wondering if this differs substantially enough with articles such as this. Also, what can we do for a picture? it's typically a good supplement and I'll go back and read up on the parameters that wiki set for uploading photos; I know they have to be public domain or taken by the specific user who uploads it. If anyone has some comments, let me know. I didn't want to edit the page without discussing it first to see if others had some news articles on Tara Ison that they wanted to share, to ensure that we could have a decent sized appearances section, if at all. @Chewbakadog: the general consensus is that including material like talks, should focus on broadly notable talks (ones of significant coverage or lasting public interest). The best precedent I can think of would Exhibitions of artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun which highlights some (but not all) of the most relevant and important exhibits of Tut materials., that give the highest profile and longest cultural legacy. Similarly, with authors, artists, etc: short term events with minimal long-lasting importance shouldn't be the center of the article. However, documentation of the specific events might strengthen the other coverage in the articles, discussion of her interests and discussion of other elements within the larger biography. the article hasn't been significantly worked on recently, so feel free to expand and improve it as you see best: just know, that there is always the possibility of trimming material that places too much emphasis on one thing or another, Sadads (talk) 23:03, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive quotations were removed

[edit]

Excessive quotations were removed from non-free material. There was 1,575 words of non-free content in an 1875-word article, far exceeding our non-free content rules. — Diannaa (talk) 23:00, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
