"FitzGerald"?
[edit]I think the spelling needs to have a definitive source - it seems the BBC is the only source that spells her surname with a capital G, and not consistently. It doesn't seem that she has her own website, which is a hindrance. User:Bilky_asko ☞ Talk Pagé 15:21, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- Definitely, Fitzgerald seems to be the common usage, and is used in an overwhelming majority of sources.

Birth name of Tara Fitzgerald
[edit]Her birth name is given as Tara Anne Cassandra Fitzgerald everywhere I've checked, so either Wikipedia or IMDb is wrong. Which? RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 12:21, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Birth name of Tara Fitzgerald cont'd
[edit]The birth registers everywhere I've looked [findmypast, FreeBMD, familysearch] give 'Anne Tara G. F. Callaby'; however, looking at a scan of the register itself on Free BMD leads me to believe that it's actually a 'C', and, given her entry was a hand-written addition at the bottom of the page, a misplaced, quickly-written full stop; it doesn't actually look like a letter 'G' at all. Although it'd be perfectly plausible for the 'G' to stand for 'Geraldine', that being her mother's middle name (and the first name of her mother's famous aunt, the actress Geraldine Fitzgerald), the fact that company records and the NPG entry give 'Cassandra' would imply that is what the 'C' represents. Additionally, had Tara been given the name 'Geraldine' at all, one would imagine, much in the spirit of homage in which it would no doubt have been given to her, she would have continued to use it. This all, to me, leads to the conclusion that the register gives 'C' rather than 'G' for the reasons above. As for the transposition of her first and second names, that's commonly encountered enough, I think, as not to be strange. Ashiyura (talk) 20:47, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
