Just a bit of discussion
[edit]I don't understand the tendency of so many modern Christians to want or need to isolate themselves so hard from the rest of reality. I know YouTube is full of pornography and all, but is it really worth a Christian-only video-sharing site? Christianity is supposed to be a living religion, taking part in the world, not running away from it. Just a little bit from someone considering converting... 76.90.141.94 12:37, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- The Talk pages are for discussing the articles only, not the subject of the article. Please refrain from forum-type comments like this one -- even if it is a very good question. ;p Thanks! --Jaysweet 16:59, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
I just want to say that Godtube isn't as tolerant as this article says. I posted a very respectful comment providing a proper, scientific definition of evolution, and it was immediately removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.128.166.131 (talk) 22:11, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you can find coverage of such incidents on respectable media, then we could include them in the article. Otherwise, there is no way to include it. Brusegadi (talk) 22:39, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I just had a similar experience, and I didn't even dispute the contents, I just questioned whether harsh language regarding homosexuals and others was the best way to make an unrelated point about a given bible passage. Rather disappointing. I expect that respectable media coverage will happen before too long. --24.119.143.142 (talk) 08:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. That's why I updated to include the TOS prohibition on anything "Counter to the evangelization of JC" Unquenchablefire (talk) 16:17, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- here is the exact TOC from their site FTR

I should add that I added an account called "godisimaginary" and posted a quote on a video about creationism (mac vs pc parody where "creationism vs evolution" matched "hope of creationism" vs "desperation of evolution" and stated that "hope is not delusion..."etc. My response and account were deleted within 5 minutes of my posting with no explaination, so its clear they are serious about enforcing their TOC.Mrrealtime (talk) 21:09, 18 December 2008 (UTC) Mrrealtime (talk) 21:00, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
I would just like to comment on the seeming lack of courtesy in this article. Without going off on a tirade of 'my morals are different than yours' - I would like to say that your reference to pornography on GodTube in the second sentence of this article seems a bit subjective. Sure, it may be truth, and factual, but I'm sure there were many other truths about the site that are not referenced in this article. I might suggest this is some type of 'shock media' where the writer is simply trying to get a reaction from their audience, as opposed to a general explanation/description of the subject.
From the perspective of a man trying to live by the precepts I have learned through my Christian 'experience' - pornography is something that is not beneficial to a single man or a married man, albeit a great temptation (a desire of the flesh, if I were to speak in "Christian-ese"). Yes, this is a personal belief, but I think it is safe to say that I share this belief with many other Christian and non-Christian men alike. I wish that someone who knows more than I do about writing wikipedia articles would re-write this article to simply explain or describe the basics of the subject matter. I believe that the current format of the article will unnecessarily put many Christian men in a place where they are tempted to do something that will draw them away from their relationship with their God.
I submit this article with the hopes that it will be received not as an antagonizing of another's beliefs, but as an honest request from a person who has benefited much from the knowledge found in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.223.254.129 (talk) 12:01, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit]"Spring of 2007". Its not spring all over the world at the same time you know! Could you be more specific? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bellywiki (talk • contribs) 10:23, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the input Bellywiki, but you can figure it out by finding where DTS is located. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertkappa (talk • contribs) 13:35, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Why are demographics being included?
[edit]I don't see demographics from Quantcast on other wikipedia pages about websites, including youtube.
I edited the section to correct incorrect information and negative tone. However, this section really isn't relevant and perhaps should be removed. In addition, at least one other section is totally irrelevant and only serves to malign the site or its CEO. The article really needs an overhaul by someone who can be more neutral. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.163.173.127 (talk) 22:16, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Wiki'ing GodTube
[edit]Most of the discussion on this page deals with theological opinions, or complaints about not having a neutral point of view. For those that are upset with the GodTube/Tangle entry, you need to study up on what can and cannot be posted to Wiki. Stop moaning about this or that, obviously a person can correct incorrect info if they will Wiki correctly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertkappa (talk • contribs) 14:01, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

"mm" abbreviation?

On Advertising
[edit]I've read the article carefully, and I haven't seen any paragraph that serves as an ad for Godtube. Should we remove the AD template? --190.162.99.126 (talk) 16:33, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
