Women's vs. open divisions

[edit]

Her self-authored bio only specifically mentions one open event, so the assumption has to be that her wins were otherwise in womens' divisions (otherwise she'd frankly be extremely famous, since many of her victories would have to be against the likes of Efren Reyes and Johnny Archer, as well as top female pros like Allison Fisher and Karen Corr). — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 00:02, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • @SMcCandlish: I'm not sure where the info about Cantoni's titles comes from (and I don't expect you to recall after all these years), but it looks from page 52 here, and fromhere, that she wasn't a 2004 Eight-ball national champion. I don't know much about pool, though, so maybe I'm not looking in the right places! Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 11:32, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@BennyOnTheLoose: Yeah, I don't know at this point; 2009 was a long time ago, and I have far fewer pool related books and magazines and such these days. This is probably best researched by someone in Australia and/or someone who is really keeping up with online pool-stats resources. That said, if you have sources that seem to contradict a claim in our article, and that claim is unsourced, then removing or replacing the claim seems to be the thing to do.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  12:13, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
