[edit]Maiden name Gevergeeva, not Gevergeva Father's first name Levkii, not Levko "Her father was a freethinker and both her parents were raised as Muslims" - please omit. Father only had a muslim background, mother a Swedish one. "After the Russian Revolution of 1917 she entered The Maryinsky Ballet School as a night student, when it began to admit children of non-Christian backgrounds". Wrong. T.G. was Christian. She had been simply too old to be admitted to the Imperial Theatre School (not "Maryinsky Ballet School") 14 years old but could join it when the evening classess were created after the Revolution. There she met Balanchine, not at ballroom classes. She began appearing professionally by 1925 in a German production of A Midsummer Night's Dream as Oberon. Please correct: Still in Russia, she began appearing professionally in ballet eveninigs. Should be added: In 1924, together with Balanchine and Danilova, Geva defected from the Soviet Russia on a tour to Germany, after Diaghilev had invited them to join the "Ballets Russe" where she danced until 1926. In 1926 and 1932 danced in Paris with Boris Kniaseff. At the end: In her later years, had several exhibitions of her paintins. Please add reference: Tamara Geva. Split Seconds. A Remembrance. Limelight Editions, 1972.
