[edit]I do feel that "with England" is a bit superfluous - with what other countries does Scotland have (land) borders? Also: the term "Borders" has always been taken to mean this region. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maelli (talk • contribs) 12:25, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Motifs
[edit]This section is an excellent idea, but it begins "Child took the threat to take out Tam Lin's eyes..." but there is no mention of that threat previously in the article, so the reader is left somewhat bewildered. Wastrel Way (talk) 03:37, 31 May 2021 (UTC) Eric
“The motif of capturing a person by holding him through all forms of transformation”
[edit]Should that say “releasing” instead of “capturing”. Or “winning” perhaps? I’ll change it to “winning” for now. —Northernhenge (talk) 12:22, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
Glasgow Reel
[edit]The article lede mentions the "Glasgow Reel". Further down the article, the "Popular recordings" table mixed recordings of the ballad with recordings of the reel. I’ve split the table so that the ballad and the reel are listed separately. It’s possible that some instrumental recordings are not the same reel, so I’ve kept the heading of the instrumental table vague. --Northernhenge (talk) 20:40, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
