what is this?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.94.255.164 (talk) 15:50, 16 December 2010 (UTC) What is "triadic" and is this considered to be a good thing or a bad thing or just a style? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.164.40.68 (talk) 19:50, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Triadic is a neutral term indicating music based on triads (major and minor chords) rather than other kinds of harmony. 71.174.40.191 (talk) 05:28, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Biography

[edit]

Japanese Wikipedia gives a date of March 1974 for Yoshimatsu leaving Keio University. The wording on the version here is confusing, seeming to indicate that he was teaching on the faculty, which doesn't seem to be the case. The citation given leads to a dead link. 71.174.40.191 (talk) 05:28, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Works for traditional Japanese instruments

[edit]

There are references to 17-"snare" and 13-"snare" koto. I don't understand what this means. The koto is a stringed instrument, and I and other players I know all refer to the 13-string and 17-string koto. Is "snare" just a typo or does it refer to some other concept with which I'm unfamiliar? Ricklaman (talk) 13:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
