Bias caused by insufficient historical context
[edit]The name 'Taifu' (大夫) is originated and learnt from the ancient Chinese 'Dafu' (大夫). The description here is not accurate enough causing misleading. The creation of the term and the class 'Taifu' is because of the Confucian or Neo-Confucian. Sections in this article need to be rewritten. Several manuscripts are suggested (in APA):
- Boot, W. J. (1983). The adoption and adaptation of Neo-Confucianism in Japan: the role of Fujiwara Seika and Hayashi Razan. WJ Boot.
- Brightwell, E. L. (2014). "The Mirror of China": Language selection, images of China, and narrating Japan in the Kamakura period (1185-1333). Princeton University.
- McMullen, J. (2020). The Ninth Century: Oligarchy, Ambivalence, and Cultural Display. In The Worship of Confucius in Japan (pp. 64-93). Harvard University Asia Center.
I hope someone could take a good utilisation with these to polish this Article. --だ☆ぜ (Dasze) 04:08, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
