Adam Smith
[edit]I'm sorry that I do not know which writer or which article/book coined the idea of comparing Taguchi to Adam Smith. But as weasely as it may be to say "sometimes referred to..." or "some scholars...", it doesn't make it any less true. Some scholars do say this. He is in fact sometimes compared to Adam Smith. The reference in the article to 日本人種論 is very odd. The reported publication date is not within Taguchi's lifetime. I have edited the date to reflect that shown in Takezawa's citation.
