Tabriz köftesi → Tabriz meatballs – Talk:Tabriz köftesi#Renaming Scudsvlad (talk) 16:38, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- I personally support the move, since "Tabriz köftesi" is a very strange name. "Tabriz" is Persian (and English) while "köftesi" is Turkish. The Azeri name is "Təbriz küftəsi", the Persian name "kufte Tabrīzī", and the Turkish name "Tebriz köftesi" (although in Turkey, the dish is often called acem köftesi. Also, Tabriz meatballs is not a Turkish dish.) "Tabriz köftesi" is none of those. Or perhaps this page could be moved to Tabriz kofta (as in Shish kofta. Because: Kofta). I don't know which is better. --Scudsvlad (talk) 16:50, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support Google books search: "Tabriz+köftesi" and "Tebriz+köftesi" both get 224 hits, "Tabriz+küftəsi" gets 1, and "Tabriz+meatballs" gets 275. Jstor search: "Tabriz+köftesi", "Tebriz+köftesi" and "Təbriz+küftəsi" all get 0 hits, "Tabriz+meatballs" gets 2. Google scholar search: "Təbriz+küftəsi" gets 1 hit, "Tebriz+köftesi" gets 96, "Tabriz köftesi" gets 3, and "Tabriz+meatballs" gets 121. - LouisAragon (talk) 23:26, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support per LouisAragon. --HistoryofIran (talk) 18:02, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support Combination of the Persian Tabriz with the Turkish köftesi its outdated even if it's used. Amir Ghandi (talk) 10:27, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
