Redirect

[edit]

A table game has a common and primary use. That is, as a class of games played in casinos. While not a perfect indicator, the inbound links show that the common use has been for the casino table games. If that is not the correct place for this as a redirect, then it should be changed into a dab page which would be better. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:31, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree, that is a US-centric view because that's its definition under US law. Meanwhile the rest of the world uses "table game" in a much wider, more generic sense i.e. any game played on a table or, like pool, using a table, which is presumably why we have a Wiki project called "Board and table games". See for example The Golden Age of Board and Table Games by Margaret Hofer (2003) and many others.
That said, the article needs balancing to reflect both meanings. Part of that could be moving the list of casino gambling games to casino game. Bermicourt (talk) 16:17, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
