Redirect TUM to Technical University to Munich
[edit]As per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, "a topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term.". Let consider all use cases for "TUM" (note the capital spelling of this redirect):
- Technical University of Munich, 11,581 page views in the past 30 days
- Totally unimodular matrix, 15 page views
- Tuen Mun station, 261 page views
- Technological University, Mandalay, 166 page views
- Truck Utility Medium (does not even exist)
- Transportistas Unidos Mexicanos, 175 page views
The criteria is fulfilled. Respectfully, I would thus argue that one of the top 3 universities in Germany should warrant this redirect. Otherwise maybe MIT should redirect to MIT (disambiguation) too. Paging User:Bkonrad. –intforce (talk) 01:20, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- The source for this is presumably https://pageviews.toolforge.org/massviews/?platform=all-access&agent=user&source=wikilinks&range=latest-20&sort=views&direction=1&view=list&target=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tum --Joy [shallot] (talk) 13:37, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- I would suggest first splitting off the acronym into a separate disambiguation page, which will give a bit more clarity as to how often people access "Tum" as "TUM" or vice versa. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 13:38, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
