- At https://www.tssfc.ca/adult Scroll down and it says the men's and women's first teams are TSS FC Rovers RedPatch (talk) 10:59, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Do you have a rebuttal to "Rovers FC" being the WP:COMMONNAME? — AFC Vixen 🦊 11:01, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not really in favour for or against since I've seen both forms used in various places. With inconsistencies between the two forms, I tend to just stick with the status quo (which is why I moved it back). I would say though that proposing a change through a WP:RM and letting the wider community decide would be better than a unilateral change and moving the article though and I'd go with whatever the larger wiki community decides. Requested move 3 February 2023
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved. Not an obvious case of WP:COMMONNAME, both names are used interchangeably. (non-admin closure) ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 08:16, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
TSS FC Rovers → TSS Rovers FC – An open-and-shut case of WP:COMMONNAME in my opinion. I have provided sources in the discussion above. — AFC Vixen 🦊 10:12, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
- Weak oppose The two names are both used, including in sources, such as the team's official website as mentioned above, and other sources such as Soccerway, Transfermarkt, USL League Two, as well as in other sources such as [1], [2], [3]. So its not as open and shut as AFC Vixen view it. Given the use of both forms, I tend to just default to the current one in place. RedPatch (talk) 13:24, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
- The organisers of the tournament and leagues, the broadcaster, and the mainstream third-party news sources I cited have a far wider reach. — AFC Vixen 🦊 13:28, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose per RedPatch, although Transfermarkt is not a reliable source... GiantSnowman 11:35, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Total Soccer Systems (TSS) FC is the name for the organization as a whole. The "Rovers" is just a nickname, only used by the men's and women's L1BC teams, and occasionally their BCSPL franchises. In British Columbia when youth, amateur, or semi-pro clubs produce several teams, the "FC" or "SC" typically comes first, followed by the nickname used by the individual squad(s) e.g. BCCSL standings. Similar to how we have the Whitecaps FC Academy and not the Whitecaps Academy FC. RedBlueGreen93 (talk) 22:52, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Support. I think the sources that use "TSS Rovers" are much stronger overall in terms of reach and credibility. Even if this RM fails, I think it is valid for editors use both forms (i.e. TSS Rovers FC) depending on context. BLAIXX 04:37, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
