The renaming discussion that must be had
[edit]This Australian political party is NOT The New Liberals. It wanted to be, but the Australian Electoral Commission found that name to be unacceptable. Its official name is TNL. Should this article be renamed to TNL? HiLo48 (talk) 07:07, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- As the official registered name is TNL and the party has officially recognised TNL as its new name (and url), I agree that this article should be renamed. There are two possible names that can be used: TNL (party) or TNL (political party). Marcnut1996 (talk) 21:47, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'd support the latter, simply for clarity. HiLo48 (talk) 23:13, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
- I think TNL (political party) probably makes the most sense, and the only comparable example I could find was the Dutch party DENK (political party) so there is precedence. Dauwenkust (talk) 05:03, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- It seems we're not going to attract a huge crowd to this discussion. Since there is no dispute, I will boldly rename the article, and update the disambiguation page for TNL. HiLo48 (talk) 21:38, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
