ramfs
[edit]ramfs redirects here, but is not really explained in the article. -- Beland 21:11, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, sysfs is built upon ramfs but has per se nothing to do with ramfs itself. ramfs is a kind of tmpfs without size limits. Documentation can be found here for example. 83.77.133.173 (talk) 13:36, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I think it's safe to say that ramfs needs its own article. Redirecting from ramfs to something totally unrelated and specific to Linux only, is not helpful. 202.164.192.231 (talk) 11:27, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I redirected ramfs to tmpfs#Linux because they're pretty much the same thing on Linux. -- intgr [talk] 11:11, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Mount point
[edit]Is sysfs always mounted to /sys

/sys vs /proc/sys
[edit]I'd say this page can bring confusion between /sys and /proc/sys. /proc/sys should be the one to be compared to sysctl, not /sys. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.223.3.27 (talk) 07:01, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
Ongoing edit war
[edit]@Mfwitten and Dsimic: Please solve your disagreements in a discussion format instead of an edit war. -- intgr [talk] 08:34, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! Well, I already gave up so it's no longer an edit war. I have better things to do both here and in my life than to debate over the WP:SEEALSO guideline. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 09:01, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
