Talk:Syrictæ

Why is this under the page "Syrictæ"? The Sciritae are never mentioned as being the same creatures. The Syrictæ were entirely reptilian, while the Sciritae only had bandy serpentine legs and snake-like nostrils. It's not confirmed that these were the same creatures. The Syrictæ, are often categorized as being cryptids, while the Sciritae (one would assume) were humanoid with only a few deformed features (following the tradition of the other fantastic tribes of Greek myth and medieval legend).RandyS0725 (talk) 20:46, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Since there appears to be no source on this topic other than the link given, the content of which is reproduced exactly in the article, it seems there's little point in providing elaboration on the topic, e.g. comparisons to characters from Harry Potter or attempts to explain what "serpentine" means in reference to legs. I would remind the author of that passage that "serpentine" is a standard English word. If readers are confused by its application here, they can just look the word up and they will know as much about the fictitious creature described here as anyone else seems to.
