In fact synthetic transaction monitoring can be applied to monitoring databases, services, message queues, TCP/IP ports, or other areas. Please consider the non-programmers in the audience

As someone with only the most rudimentary understanding of programming, I found this article so incomprehensible that I gave up half way through the first paragraph.
