The symphony was recorded in 1950 by the Philharmonia Orchestra under Herbert von Karajan and issued on 78s. The subsequent Lp transfer was EMI Columbia 33CX 1002, one of their first LP issues. It may be that this was earlier than the Soviet recording referred to in the text81.153.51.221 (talk) 14:07, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
