Canonic Minuet?
[edit]Here is a blurb about a canonic minuet found in HCRL. I don't have a recording of this symphony so I can't confirm Landon's point. Is the canon is actually there? If so, please add the following paragraph.
- The minuet features a canon between high and low strings at the interval of a single bar. Michael Haydn likely learned this technique from Joseph Haydn's 23rd Symphony from 1764 (also in G major).[1]
