"the 22nd episode" → "the twenty-second episode", maybe? I'm not sure what the standard for Star Trek is, though the latter seems more professional to me.

"However" is better replaced by a semicolon (linking the sentences) because the second sentence follows logically from the first: nothing is contradicted.
