Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this is the third time in 2020 that someone has created this page,[1] and it about time we had a deletion discussion about it. The previous times it was deleted under A7: Article about a real person, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. In my opinion, the deletion discussion should include the option to make it that an administrator is required to recreate this page. It is possible that the problem is that the article needs time to mature, and that the right solution is to move it to draft space.---- Toddy1 (talk) 13:11, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- I have tagged the page with a creation protection request. That should do the trick. Idell (talk) 13:43, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Question about name
[edit]I notice that the subject's website refers to him as "Mufti Adnan Kakakhail". Is Adnan Kakakhail a two-word family name or surname, and is Syed his given name or first name? —C.Fred (talk) 17:32, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- C.Fred Syed means this person is from the descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, through his daughter Fatima. Mufti means a Muslim jurist. Finally, Adnan Kakakhail would be his common name, unless and until, sources do not refer him as Syed Adnan Kakakhail. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 17:42, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- @AafiOnMobile: Is Syed part of his name, though? Or should it be treated as a prefix or honorific? —C.Fred (talk) 17:45, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- C.Fred, per how I study the scholarly biographies, it is not an honorific prefix? It is a part of name. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 17:47, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
