[edit]I've got a problem with the continuity of the stadium between 1908 and its demolition.
I attended various attractions there during my youth, and yes it stood on high ground.
Trouble is, the photos of the fight on Boxing Day 1908 show the stadium in a valley surrounded by higher ground, looking much like it was originally sited down in Rushcutter's Bay where the park is.

- Yes you're right - the photo of the Burns-Johnson 1908 fight illustrates a temporary stadium - the permanent Stadium building was built some distance away from the temporary one in 1911. See discussion here --Very trivial (talk) 06:24, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
