Move?

The result of the proposal was move to Swraj Paul Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:39, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Swaraj Paul, Baron Paul of Marylebone → Swraj Paul, Baron Paul — "of Marylebone" is part of his territorial designation, not his title. His first name is "Swraj", according to both the London Gazette and Parliament's website. — Wereon (talk) 12:53, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- Removing "of Marylebone" is probably uncontroversial, but the lone citation in the article[1] uses "Swaraj", not "Swraj". Suggest starting a normal Requested Move to gain consensus for the move. -kotra (talk) 20:11, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Or to Swaraj Paul, Baron Paul? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:32, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Naming conventions (names and titles)#British peerage basically tells us we should use what is most common (no surprise there). Searching Google, the most common terms seem to be "Lord Swraj Paul" and "Swraj Paul" (though the latter might be skewed by other Swraj Pauls) by a long margin over "Swaraj" variants and "..., Baron Paul" variants. Therefore, as per #6 here, "Swraj Paul" should be used. -kotra (talk) 22:02, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
