[edit]I reverted this article to being about the play and film, Sweet Bird of Youth, as opposed to the (overwritten) article about "an up coming Australian band". Because...seriously... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taiichi 2 (talk • contribs)
Fair use rationale for Image:Sweet bird moviep.jpg
[edit]Image:Sweet bird moviep.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Multiple errors in article
[edit]There are multiple errors in this article. I stopped reading it. I have no desire to change anything due to the self-appointed attack dogs that get their jollies "reverting" someone's work into the dust-bin. So be it. Let this article be error-ridden.Shemp Howard, Jr. (talk) 01:16, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

the thing is with tenessee williams work is that it tends to get hijacked by the lovies homo crew - just because he was a poof doesn't mean anything as such as regards his output as a playwright - what irks me most about Sweet Bird of Youth is that in the stage directions Tennessee clearly states that the character is about 25 years old and starting to 'thin on top' - Newman clearly wasn't exhibiting this tendency in the Hollywood production so straight-away the production is being bastardized Thetiesthatbind (talk) 23:48, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Plot?
[edit]Where is the section describing the plot of the play and film? I'm constantly dismayed that most Wikipedia film pages contain a nag that the plot should be reduced so as to be nearly useless in discussing the film, but then to actually have no plot beyond the opening paragraph of the article is quite extreme. There WAS a plot section here a year or two ago, until someone at 95.49.242.50 vaporized it. 24.57.210.141 (talk) 23:34, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've put the plot synopsis back in. This should not have been removed in the first place... --Morn (talk) 12:49, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Plot should be removed because it is extremely inaccurate and misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.224.98.36 (talk) 22:25, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Citation needed for Broadway history paragraph
[edit]I'm confused; are we talking about making an actual reference to the IBDB page that's linked to at the bottom of the article? Surely the information correlates on its own… Absurdist1968 (talk) 08:12, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
