Reduction in value of circulating currency

The remarkable reduction in circulating currency in Sweden should be mentioned. For instance the 1000-kr banknote was circulating 48.358 million pieces in 2001, and is circulating 4.198 million pieces (1.073 million new design + 3.125 million old design) at the end of 2015.

After 30 June, 2016 it will no longer be possible to pay using the old 20-, 50- and 1,000-banknotes. You will still be able to deposit them into your bank account up to and including 31 August 2016. It is not clear how low the bank intends to go. Pacomartin (talk) 09:55, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

Outdated image

The 50 SEK and 1000 SEK notes without aluminum foil are not legal tender anymore. - Anonimski (talk) 13:08, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

I removed all outdated images of invalid notes. Come the end of June 2017, it might make sense to remove the second table and put the table up into the history section where the notes are described.Pacomartin (talk) 00:35, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Someone needs to update the image to the current banknotes instead of the invalid notes.Pacomartin (talk) 16:08, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

It should be noted that the banknotes in the link are early design drafts and that some parts of their design did not make it to release. For example the QR code on the 500 banknote.--Christoffre (talk) 12:48, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

new 2cts should not mention old coin

the column "Older coins legal tender?" should IMHO not contain "until 30 June 2017" for the new 2 Krona as there are no old 2 Krona to replace 15:18, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

There are still some rare 2 Krona coins in rotation. They haven't been minted for several decades, but the old ones are still legal tender and can sometimes show up in your wallet. --Christoffre (talk) 21:16, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
