[edit]the article was whining about how generous Swedens refugee policy was and how little the other European states have done by comparison. Has it occurred to the author that there are refugees from other places than Iraq in Europe? According to Demographics of Sweden, more than 90% of Swedish population is indigenous. This makes for one of the lowest proportions of immigrant population in all of Europe. Countries like the UK, Germany, the Netherlands or Switzerland have a foreign population of more than 20%. I am glad to hear Sweden is so generous with refugees, but it really has no reason to complain with other European states as long as its immigrant population is so small.
The reason Iraqis tend to head for Sweden is the same reason for which North Africans go to France, Pakistanis to the UK, Turks to Germany and Albanians to Switzerland: people will prefer moving to countries where there is already a large community in place, often family or acquaintances with whom they were in communication long before they migrate and who will welcome them. --dab (𒁳) 19:00, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
