- Background
- Link national monument to National monument (United States)
- Linked. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- History
- "and was completed October 1830 " - Should there be an "in" between completed and October? Not sure if that's a necessary thing, or just a peculiarity of my South Midland English.
- Added "in". TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- "and was finished August 1832 " - Ditto as above
- Added "in". TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- " By June 1832, a 22-mile (35 km) section of the canal was operating between Georgetown and Seneca, which includes Lock 21." - I'd say included is better than includes here, as it's referring to 1832 events
- Changed to "included". TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Was it Offutts Crossroads or Offutt's Crossroads? Both are used
- Will change all to "Offutt's". I believe both were used. An article from 2010 in Bethesda Magazine interviewed Bill Offutt—a descendent of the family. The article used "Offutt's Crossroads", so I will too. Would not be surprised if the Post Office would not use the " ' ". TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Swain family
- Was the name spelled Jesse or Jessie? Both are used
- Changed them all to "Jesse", which matches his obit. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Today
- "is located between water fall and water fowl attractions" - I'm pretty sure waterfall is one word
- Fixed. Supposed to be a "clever" play on words, was not sure if I was going to leave it in. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- References (ref numbers from this revision
- Ref 3 is dead
- Replaced with Unrau page 226 already used elsewhere. TwoScars (talk) 17:16, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- No need to have C&O Canal Trust twice in ref 6
- Fixed. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ref 41 needs an accessdate
- Fixed. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- You use Arcadia, Arcadia Publishing, and Arcadia Publishing Inc. Choose one to stick with
- Those all match what is shown when one clicks the OCLC number. However, I will change them all to say Arcadia Publishing Inc. TwoScars (talk) 16:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Images
- File:Lock 66 below Paw paw on C and O Canal.jpg cannot be used in the article, as the licensing information is incorrect. It's not an NPS work, so the NPS work tag is incorrect; without a publishing date, it can't be demonstrated to be public domain.
- Changed image. TwoScars (talk) 17:25, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

- Check to make sure all of those YouTube ELs comply with WP:ELNO.
- Will get to that later today or tomorrow. TwoScars (talk) 17:25, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- I believe they were all OK, but I dropped all of the YouTube links except the one with Fred Swain. TwoScars (talk) 20:22, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Well, that's about it I think. Good work. Hog Farm Bacon 03:19, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
