THIS ARTICLE CONFUSES TWO DIFFERENT SWAINBY LOCATIONS CLOSE TO NORTHALLERTON
There is a tiny hamlet, location Swainby, about 5 miles SW of Northallerton, close to the A1. no church, no beck, no bridge.
The other Swainby, for which this seems to be the description, and co-ordinates, is about 8 miles NE of Northallerton, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, on the A172. About 5 miles from Stokesley. With bridge and church. Big enough to be a village, surely. I can pick all this up from maps, But some of the other facts also need checking.--Richardb43 (talk) 15:15, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have checked everything in the current version of the article appears to be about the village near Stokesley. I have added a {{distinguish}} template to mention the other Swainby. --Snigbrook(talk)10:26, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
