Retracting changes?
[edit]I would like to retract the changes that I made to the wikipedia page of Suzanne Nossel. I no longer support these edits. Is there any way to return to the articles previous form? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Humanrightsforall (talk • contribs) 19:26, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- I've reverted the article back to the previous version. January (talk) 21:14, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Removed sections
[edit]Material removed at this diff did have some problems of context, sourcing and POV language. However, much of it can be put back once there is proper referencing and better overall context. Below I'll put some sources and how they can be used and hopefully get back and rewrite it if no one beats me too it.
Some useful sources, though note that generally we let other reliable sources decide what are the most note worthy of her articles to describe, they can also be linked in articles. Statements she's made quoted by sources not likely to lie or be inaccurate generally can be used too. Searching books.google or news.google or general search or Highbeam or other sources with her name and the term or activity or position you want more info about is best way to bring up information. Life and work:
- Nossel’s comments on her early life here are proper early in article - but without editorial comments; she states her positions on a variety of issues in that interview and this one.
- About appointment to one of her positions
Mentions in interviews or by others of her Positions/Views/Publications:
- Her interview comments here and here.
- Her support for nation building quoted
- Smart power mentioned here
- Her CFR question showing pro-Iraq war
- Quoted statement about making sailors fighters
Her works that can be listed:
- article on Israel and the UN
- Here article supporting closing gitmo
- "Smart power" in Pakistan
- On UN and Israel
Controversies:
- Info that perhaps can be integrated, along with Hedges interview. May end up being debated. Better sources always preferable: About Hedges resignation from PEN; Mondoweiss has an overview and may have some good links that are WP:RS

The information that was removed should be restored because it shows the anti-Semitism and hypocrisy of the so-called peace/anti-Israel movement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.152.156.214 (talk) 02:57, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Questionable Sentence
[edit][I read the talk page guidelines, but I'm new to this. I am trying to comply.] Under "Controversy," the sentence "In fact, however, Nossel opposed the Iraq War and Hedges was not able to cite evidence that she supported it" seems inappropriate. It claims Hedges has no citable evidence, and yet claims that "Nossel opposed the Iraq War" without citing any evidence. Also, the claim that Hedges was unable to cite evidence is, itself, uncited. The sentence does not seem to meet encyclopedic standards, and would be better removed. A citation for the claims would probably make it appropriate. --75.80.98.75 (talk) 23:33, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Removal of personal life info
[edit]I removed some unsourced material about Nossel's heritage until citations can be provided. --Malerooster (talk) 21:47, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
