4/16/09 I am posting an article on Susan B. Neuman, literacy researcher/educator and Professor of Educational Studies at University of Michigan. Susan Neuman has conducted extensive research in the field of early literacy education and published many books and articles on this topic. She meets noteability guidelines on several levels; most significantly, Neuman served as US Assistant Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education during the recent Bush Administration and was responsible for initial implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act. I am a "newbie" to WIKI-authoring so I would appeciate support and advice from WIKI-veterans in launching this new piece. --JourneyWomanSLP (talk)

4/21/09 I added an additional section under the Career heading today. I will be adding in references and some further details to this section and to the rest of the article shortly. --JourneyWomanSLP (talk) 17:00, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

4/25/09 Added further information to Neuman article today. External links to media and interview pieces, as well as early education and literacy sites. Also added to career and areas of research sections. JourneyWomanSLP (talk) 02:56, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

4/27/09 A marathon writing session, but the article is more or less complete. I need some assistance with the references as there are duplicate listings of some of them in the reference list. I will try to read up on how to eliminate those duplicates myself, within the next few days unless someone helps out with this. After a day or so, I will remove the "under construction sign". I am not quite ready for someone to come in and make any major changes in this article as of yet! --JourneyWomanSLP (talk) 07:24, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

5/5/09 Fixing an error in Kathleen Roskos' name.JourneyWomanSLP (talk) 04:13, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

5/5/09 Made some edits to spelling in refs section. This article needs {{help}} with the duplicated references. Not sure how to eliminate the duplicate references. JourneyWomanSLP (talk) 03:58, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

added nowiki to the helpme template; I will copy the help request over to the users page and deal with it there.  Chzz  ►  04:45, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

5/7/09 Removed dead link. Couldn't track down whether article was archived in EdNews somewhere. THis reference is not necessary anyway as there are two others in the same line that support the stated claim, plus a LONG list of publications, articles, etc. referenced in this wiki article --- many more not referenced here as well. Also, added citations to first section in career history. The tag for citations needed may be removed from this section now. This article is one of the most heavily referenced/supported bios on wikipedia --- felt kind of ludicrous adding in even more references to this piece as Neuman's bio facts are documented in several places in this piece.
