Multiple Reward
We better put a footnote about what each person won in the episode 4 reward challenge, because no one is going to know what "mulitple" means. DarkFireYoshi (talk) 00:18, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Name is too long
I don't think this page should be named like this. Survivor: Vanuatu - Islands of Fire is at the article Survivor: Vanuatu. The subtitle is cool, yes, but I think it makes the title unnecessarily long. I realize I can just move this, but I think I'd rather ask before I do it. Mo0[talk] 03:22, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- As a sidenote, I also apparently can't move it myself, since there's already been a redirect made at the other name. Once a consensus is reached here, I'll go get an admin to move it. Or someone else can, whatever works best. Mo0[talk] 03:25, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- Moved. 69.134.50.153 03:39, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, okay. I must be moron. Awesome, thank you. :) Mo0[talk] 03:54, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Stephenie Lagrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard
CBS has announced the sixteen contestants as listed. Should we be reporting a rumor that there are two more unannounced contestants without any proof? MK2 03:33, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
National Park name
I am confused over the National Park name, currently Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo National Park. If you look at information about Guatemala, you'll find List of national parks of Guatemala and List of places in Guatemala that list the three names individually. Further Naranjo already has developed page. Further, [this site] calls the area Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo National Monument. It would be nice to have a page about the area.

Finale Date
Do we have any idea for the finale date yet?
The finale will be Sunday, December 11, 2005.

All but one votes
sorry i'm placing this first, but you;re right, i just finished re-watching the season, and RAFE voted for stephanie not danni —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.49.185.126 (talk) 06:18, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
I didn't go back through all the seasons to confirm this, but it seems to me that this season has had the most "all but one" votes - tribal councils where everyone votes for a single person except for that person. Can anyone confirm this? MK2 07:25, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Last season had 7 + the final tribal council vote. I only went and looked at last season, but I don't think the votes are all that unusual. Sue Anne 10:33, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- I counted last season and only came up with four. Admittedly, I only counted the initial votes. I didn't count the final million dollar vote as the two people involved aren't voting. And I didn't count votes with only two or three people because those are always going to be "all but one". The four I got were Kim 5-1 (Ep 4); Willard 8-1 (Ep 5); Stephenie 6-1 (Ep 11); and Caryn 4-1 (Ep 13).
- In the season before that (Vanuatu), I also got only four: Brady 6-1 (Ep 4); Travis 6-1 (Ep 5); John Kenney 5-1 (Ep 7); and Eliza 3-1 (Ep 14). In every other tribal council for these two seasons (a total of 27 votes by the standard I described above) at least one person besides the "victim" broke ranks with the majority. But in this season it's already happened 6 times in only 10 votes: Jim 8-1 (Ep 1); Morgan 8-1 (Ep 2); Brianna 7-1 (Ep 3); Margaret 6-1 (Ep 6); Brian 5-1 (Ep 6); and Amy 4-1 (Ep 7).
- Significance? I don't know - I just thought it was interesting. MK2 07:15, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Gary and Cindy both had all but one, so that brings it to 8 Total. So yea, its a record. Rangeley 22:47, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Danni won!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats right, so UPDATE THIS ARTICLE!!!! Quite frankly, I'm too lazy to do it myself. I guess I shouldn't expect it to happen so quickly, after all, it just got over about 30 minutes ago. Well, Danni is the first survivor from Kansas to win (I'm from Kansas). Thats neat, but I would've prefered Brandon to win, because he's not only from Kansas but also from my hometwon. Coincidence, huh? -Nick Warren
Contestants Table
Do we really need the table to be organized like that? We already have a detailed info about the game in another part of the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.213.244.233 (talk • contribs) 22:21, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think it provides information in a useful way, a more consise and what is going to be (as I get the time to work on the other articles) a more universal way, even though guatemala includes some of this information in other places it's the only survivor article to do so, and both pieces of information serve very different tasks, one provides a general overvies of all contests and who won while the other provides more specific useful information, also, please sign your posts with four ~'s like this ~~~~ AdamJacobMuller 20:26, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have three complaints. A) It is very redundant with the information listed in "The Game" section. B) If the consensus is to keep it, we should move it down with "The Game" section and only have a simple list of contestants in the contestant area. C) I have a big pet peeve with the "red" background on the cells, but that's an overall complaint and not anything necessarily specific to this article. Sue Anne 21:02, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've edited "The Game" section by removing the 'Tribe' column, as this is already written in the "Contestants" section. Basically, I followed the edits done to Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Fiji. Hakushu8 12:30, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- As this season is the "only survivor article to do so" (have the episode by episode info written in a bulletpoint style), I propose that it is rewritten to be consistent with the other articles. I would do it myself, but this was the one season since All Stars I didn't watch :( ~~ THE DARK LORD TROMBONATOR (((¶))) 05:37, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
external link to survivor.com
I want to add an external link to survivor.com. It was deleted as spam, but I don't think it's spam at all. It's got a ton of articles and screen captures. I was told to suggest that here. Is that the correct way to approach this? Yes, it is my own site, but I've been doing this for years. It's also linked on the home page for the Survivor TV show. This link is for the Guatemala articles only.

Article Revision
I think it is better to have a per episode recap, detailing the actual challenges done, much like the latter articles on Survivor. Can anyone try to do that?LordBelly06 (talk) 14:58, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Season logo (Maya vs. Mayan)
The logo displayed in the info box is out of date. The official CBS logo appears to use "The Maya Empire" rather than "The Mayan Empire". I'm not sure when this changed, but if someone can secure a version of the correct logo, we should update this. -- BullWikiWinkle 22:11, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I am quite SURE that the title was "The MAYA Empire" from the beginning (better change title of this article). The logo this article is using right now is a vector image created by a fan on the Internet who is a master at making supersized logos from watching the season previews and who seemed to have typo'd while making one for Guatemala. (http://survivorsucks.yuku.com/topic/51628/t/S19-Survivor-Samoa-Logo.html?page=4)
- So far the best way to see if a logo is an official CBS Logo is to check the two V's in "SURVIVOR". In every official logo, the two V's are slightly different from each other (See Exile Island Logo on its Wikipedia article). It applies to every single Survivor merchandise CBS sells, and I can see it on the Buffs I currently have. Using this identification method, it is evident that the logos for the following seasons are all inaccurate:
- Borneo, Australia (The "I" in SURVIVOR was definitely wrong), Africa, Marquesas, Thailand, Amazon, Pearl Islands (the black border was way too thick), Vanuatu (the bottom half of the logo was entirely wrong), Palau (shape was longer than every other, and the letters had rounded angles), Guatemala. (Cook Islands seems to have all its white parts cut out and become transparent too.)
