Untitled
[edit]The article states that the movie takes place in 2017, but I remember clearly that it said 2054 at the beginning of the film and during the opening credits recounted the events that, through the years, led to the current events. The flashbacks may have started in the year 2017, but the movie does not take place at that point in the timeline. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.62.197.142 (talk) 19:31, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
GROSS receipts
[edit]One last time - the amount a film is said to have grossed has absolutely NOTHING to do with how much money the film has returned to the studio. Distribution (studio) is separate from exhibition (theaters). Exhibitors only give a percentage to the studios. Hence, a film usually has to make at least TWO AND A HALF it's production budget to even approach a break even point. Further hence, if a film cost $45M to make and has grossed $50M is no indication that is has reached a profitable point. IT IS POINTLESS CONJECTURE. 24.24.254.156 (talk) 08:42, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Film / novel differences
[edit]Not sure why there seems to be an edit war over the addition of this section, but please discuss these changes here before boldly removing content from the article. 70.153.112.85 (talk) 01:43, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. As the creator of that section, I don't see why it keeps getting removed. I originally see why someone might've taken it down WAY back when I originally created it (it didn't meet a lot of Wikipedia's quality standards), but I fixed every complaint anyone had about it. Now there should be no reason as to why it cannot be on there. DarknessSavior (talk) 01:37 AM, 26 May 2012 (EST).
This section is being removed because it is original research WP:OR
You have simply read the book and watched the film. This is original research and NOT permitted. You have to quote from a reliable intermediate source: WP:RS 146.90.63.39 (talk) 18:12, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- That is not Original Research and is common in many articles with films converted from novels. You don't need a quote to say the sky is blue. -- MisterShiney ✉ 18:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
My Livining Doll
[edit]I can't help thinking of the early 1960s, liimited seasonal series "My Living Doll" starring the incomparable JULIE NEWMAR (TV's "Batman"'s "Catwoman", and reference to Wesley Snipes's and John Legiguizamo's "Too Won Foo..."). I'm sure that the movie is an almalgamon of every Sci-fi axiom an postulate imagianble. Also, the movie "A.I.", and "THE MATRIX SEIRES " comes to mind. Cast listing
[edit]Quote: "Bruce Willis as Tom Greer, a determined FBI agent out to solve the crime of a mysterious homicide. Willis is also the main character in the plot."
What does that last line mean? 66.185.74.168 (talk) 21:07, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- Nothing useful, removing. THanks for spotting it. Probably came from one of the 9000+ people who frequently add "he is the main protagonist of the film" to everything. Millahnna (talk) 08:59, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Willis not in the Full Movie?
[edit]Is it true that Willis had some sort of fallout with the director/and or Touchstone and pulled out before the film was complete? I've heard this from several people, but can't find news articles to back it up. J.jesse.ramirez (talk) 21:02, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
The death of Strickland
[edit]In "Plot" section it is written that Prophet killed Strickland, but is there any evidence for this in the film?
