Name
[edit]Shouldn't Egypt be a part of the title. After all the name "Supreme Council of the Armed Forces" can be applicable everywhere in the world. Essam Sharaf 15:42, 12 February 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Essam Sharaf (talk • contribs)
- I think the normal practice is to keep the name consistent with actual usage. If there is any clash with another name then the article can be renamed as Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (Egypt) and a disambiguation page set up. Robert Brockway (talk) 23:54, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
maspiro
[edit]I have tried to rewrite the material on the events at Maspiro on Oct 9. Improvements welcome. The article Maspiro Massacre needs a drastic overhaul as well. nableezy - 16:01, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
18 members or 20?
[edit]Ref 1 says 18 members. The page says 20. Can a complete list not be found? Maj. Gen. Adel Emara is in the news today as a SCAF member, but not a listed name. Dsp13 (talk) 21:59, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi everybody, a somewhat more complete list may be found at http://egyptelections.carnegieendowment.org/2012/01/05/the-scaf-an-overview-of-its-actions . It lists 19 members. Since I don't write for Wikipedia, I just wanted to let you know, that this might be a helpful piece of information. 87.77.251.155 (talk) 15:33, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Origins
[edit]When exactly was the council formed? The article seems to hint at the council being already in existence long before the revolution, if even largely inactive or meeting only on special occassions, but doesn't explicitly states as such. Either way, we need an "origin" subsection. --Criticalthinker (talk) 10:14, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
