Cargo Capacity
[edit]What is listed for Fuel (DFM & JP-5) - I convert this to barrels at 55 gallons to a barrel - and come up with a total of only 83.3 thousand barrels. AOE-1 class capacity was listed as 160 thousand barrels - Is this class really that much less capacity than the AOE-1 class? Wfoj3 (talk) 11:31, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
ORDNANCE TONNAGE
[edit]I did 2 tours on USS Rainier, commissioned (1994-1999) and decommissioning (2002-2003). First tour I was the Ordnance Logistics Petty Officer (GM2 and GM1). I did the cargo hold designations as well as the ordnance load out plans. First WESTPAC we filled out to designate design. By the time 2-4 WESTPAC’s, the GM’s figured how to increase the tonnage load. On her final WESTPAC as a USN ship, we had loaded 3000 tons of ordnance to include the inert items of bomb fins. 75.172.29.120 (talk) 01:20, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
