BFE
[edit]regarding BFE as 'bolt on'.
There are two items that come to mind that are an integral part of the airplane and are BFE, but definitely not 'bolt on'.
1) seats. They are ordered by the airlines, but installed before delivery. 2) Flight Data Recorder. Is currently specified in form, fit and function (per standard) and can be interchanged between aircraft and even aircraft models
