Who is Supernova???

A fun thread to discuss the possible identity of the character. I believe that Devem, leader of the Superboy cult will be revealed as Supernova. This would reflect past behaviors of the character in his pre-crisis incarnations. -sharp962

Maybe...I'm hoping this will be a way for DC to bring back Kon-El, After all Nova was an alias Superman used.-Wakefencer

Maybe he is a future version of Booster Gold... a Booster Gold that went on to mature and obtained even more artifacts. I dunno if that goes against the DC rules of time travel or not. It is more like the Back to the Future rules of time travel, but it would be way cool if Supernova is actually him.

I say evidence is strong for Supernova being one of the Superman robots with a Phantom Zone projector built into his chest. Both are technologies readily available to Superman, who uses "we" a lot in refering to Supernova. A counter-argument against this theory asks why Superman wouldn't just use the robot just as Superman, instead of dressing him up. My speculation is that if Supes didn't know whether his powers would return, he'd rather not generate false hope. *shrugs* --El benito 17:39, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

HIs identity will be revealed in 52 #37. I've a guess as to who he is but this as stated isnt the place for that. I will say though that his powers appear to shrink things (as he says "send them away") Black arrow

Merge

{{spoiler}} When Supernova's identity is revealed (Wed January 7), I think we should merge it to his true identity. In retrospect, it seems like a small part of this character's story.

Great grammar; very civil ending. So, you're withholding information...or just bullshitting. That's nice...either way. Anyway, Supernova may not necessarily be one person or a pre-existing character. More importantly, let's not count our ducks before they're hatched.

I was just commenting on the people who keep asking who Supernova is on the talk page. But I'll edit my comment, since it offends you.

I wasn't "withholding information," I didn't want to post a spoiler before the comic was released. I guess that doesn't matter anymore because someone posted it below. And if you're wondering about the validity of it, it's true, subscribers get their comics today. So, all the ducks are hatched or whatever. I see this info (and the powers info) was added to the article and removed several times, why? It is correct. As of the issue available 1/15/07, it is revealed and a full explanation of both powers and reasons is monologued by the character of Booster Gold/Supernova.

Probably just because it's not officially out yet. Just wait one more day, no big. I guess they just want to make sure the info is accurate. --Semidelicious 23:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Article needs a complete rewrite
