There is an oral tradition that Denny Strong created Superman ice cream at his Traverse City House Of Flavors (c 900 E. Front Street - it no longer exists) during the summer of 1965.
Regarding Stroh's making it during Prohibition, the Superman character did not appear until mid 1938.
The name "Superman" seems to have been used before the character existed. Which is why the ice cream has been able to be sold by certain makers as such without license fees. Regardless, we would need reliable sources about this oral tradition before we include such in the article.
