Look again

[edit]

The building Superman saves is not the Planet building, it is generic Art Deco spire-topped skyscraper resembling the Empire State Building (in one scene, Superman grasps the spire at the top to hold it upright). So the paragraph comparing it to other saving-the-Daily-Planet scenes is also invalid. For completeness' sake, I'll move it here:

One major scene in which Superman must save the Daily Planet headquarters from crashing was given homage in the George Reeves television series, the Christopher Reeve films, the Superman comics after the Crisis on Infinite Earths reboot, and the film Superman Returns as well. However, in Superman Returns, Superman (Brandon Routh) only saves the globe statuette from crashing down upon the public.

I'm in the process of removing the YouTube links to videos uploaded by a deleted user from the superman cartoon articles. I considered replacing these, as there are several other YouTube sources, but as each article also contains a link to the films on the Internet Archive I figured that was sufficient, and I don't have a good basis for choosing another video (though the user publicsuperman has been around for a decade and seems likely to remain).
