Irrelevant information?

The introduction to this article says the Superman book was only involved in this story arc in issue No. 31, which was the end of Scott Lobdell's run in the title. It then reads: "In June 2014, the Superman title began its run by Geoff Johns". Is that last sentence relevant? It doesn't seem so to me, but I did not read all of Superman: Doomed.
